
Roots party Presidential candidate Professor Wajackoyah now claims that the IEBC is planing to rig him out of the presidential race, this came after he failed to cast his vote in Matungu , Kakamega county. Prof. Wajackoyah turned up at the Indangalasia Primary School, Matungu constituency at around quarter past 10 am.
The IEBC Kim kits have been experiencing technical hitches which made the voting process fail. Wajackoyah is among those who failed to vote after his biometrics failed to be captured by the Kims kit.
Addressing the press few minutes later, Wajackoya said the government through IEBC had planned to rig him out of the presidential race due to his popularity and manifesto which is detailed . “I’ve seen other Presidential aspirants cast their votes without any problems, its only me who has not voted” said Wajackoyah.
“The IEBC officials should have planned for a back up kit just incase of system failed, of which they didn’t do or do they want us to take them to court” he further noted.
The IEBC is to be blamed for the hitches experienced due to lack of preparedness within Kakamega county which is one of Wajackoya’s strong holds claimed the presidential hopeful.
This came just a day after the IEBC suspended elections for gubernatorial positions in Mombasa and Kakamega Counties after errors were found on the ballot papers for the respective positions.
