A 22 year old female student at Bomet University was today found lifeless and body floating at river Nyangores in Bomet county.
The police confirmed that the body was found floating in Chebirir area, in the raging waters of river Nyangores.
According to Bomet Central sub-county Deputy Police Commandant Ali Bashir, the Communication and Public relations student went missing last week on Tuesday.
“The body was discovered by a member of the public who proceeded to inform the police,” said Bashir.
“Our officers together with the school administration have begun recording statements from students who were last seen with the deceased as we embark on serious investigations,” said Bashir.
He also noted that the body had already started decomposing.
The body has been moved to Longisa County Referral hospital mortuary.
