A middle aged man -24- years- old is fighting for his life at Tenwek Hospital in Bomet County after he literary chopped off his private parts.
Linus Kiplangat Rono is said to have cut off his genitals before throwing them away. Residence of Kiplabotwo village claim that Rono might have been under the influence of weed.
According to the area Chief Geoffrey Korir said the man bled profusely after the incident, before being rushed to hospital for urgent medical attention.
“His mother saw him limping and upon inquiring, he revealed that he had cut off his private organs,” Korir noted.
Mr. Korir is now calling upon the youths to avoid using drugs but rather engauge in productive activities.
“We have mobilized community leaders under the Nyumba Kumi initiative to help sensitize the youth against drugs and substance abuse,” he said.
